Art is a way of release, way to process emotions, events and communicate your feelings to others. This may be the reason why many of my paintings lean towards abstract or mixed media art. My art is about my emotions, about my interests and current fixations and aboout colour.

Digital, because you can go beyond what the physical medium allows you, and physical, because it is sticky and has limitations. Collage is another gateway to emotions and exploration.

Photography is a long-time passion of mine, a love that I have. Photography is not reality; it is a frozen moment, never changing. It is not reality because it is one moment out of hundreds; it is handpicked because we found it interesting, and we focused on this specific moment or thing.

Hi, I am Kay
Why Katharsis? I changed the name of my studio many times, in fact so many time that it should be suspicious. I did that in search of something that would click, that would make me think this is me and this is my art, this is what I feel when I create.
Catharsis is from Ancient Greek and it means purification or cleansing. This is the feeling I often have when I am creating.
